MTN Backyard Series | launch site
This Website formed part of an integrated campaign for MTN, a multinational Telco with over 80 million subscribers and sponsor of the South African cricket team. The campaign was aimed at re-igniting enthusiasm for the hallowed game of backyard cricket and, thereby, the game of cricket generally. Created in partnership with MetropolitanRepublic, the campaign was present at all major domestic cricket matches, with ATL and experiential activity pushing consumers to the Site for further interaction.
Digital Management Corporation created a Site that allowed users to challenge their friends and play on pre-existing pitches created by us or create their own backyard pitch and rules, making for a highly effective and unique gaming experience. Links to major social network Sites and a variety of social media platforms also allowed us to leverage the ATL material through the digital channel and increase the viral nature of the entire campaign.
Jack Daniels, Crack Jacks Safe | launch site
Striving to maintain the digital standards we've helped create for Jack Daniels already, we developed a challenging and engaging game for jackdaniels.com that increased traffic and user registration on the Site. In this instance, we chose to communicate and reinforce the rich history of Jack Daniels by making the historic creator of the brand the central figure in the game.
The result was a 3D modelled version of Jack Daniels' office in which users can enjoy interactive game play by attempting to unlock Jack's safe (for those who don't know Jack's safe plays an important role in the Jack Daniels story). This strategy allows users to interact with and be educated about the history of the brand simultaneously and in a very memorable way. The approach also allowed us to create an entertaining navigation system, which is intuitive, enjoyable and easy to engage with.
Coca Cola
To showcase the launch of the new Coke Side of Life campaign to the Coke South Africa team, DMC was selected to create an interactive vehicle highlighting key campaign elements.
Through the microsite users could view the new commercials, download desktops and ring tones, as well as watch a live countdown to the official global campaign launch.
Smirnoff Start a Party
Celebrating Smirnoff Spin's party competition, we created a virtual party builder where users could create a personalised plan of the kind of party they would love to throw. By doing so they earned the chance to have their party voted the coolest around.
The party ultimately voted the coolest was selected and brought to life and staged, with the creators being able to invite 100 of their closest friends to celebrate in Smirnoff style.
AXE
Digital Management Corporation, in partnership with Praekelt Consulting, is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of the AXE Website. Together, we continue to conceive and develop leading edge creative solutions for the brand. These include the Axe Affect Website complete with an interactive Flash game allowing users to test the effects of deodorant on ladies.
Cowshed PR | launch site
Cowshed Productions is a dynamic company that provides original content for a wide range of broadcast mediums, from radio to television and online. Our brief on this project was to showcase COW UK's PR services and team; demonstrating the brand's individuality to potential and existing ad agencies and clients.
The use of full screen Flash, 3D video animations, interactive and unique navigation, sound and a Content Management System (CMS) driven showreel, all contributed to the creation of a unique, rich and interactive Flash experience where the user is able to browse in an intuitive and memorable way.
Cape Grace | launch site
Voted No. 22 in Travel & Leisure's Top 500 Hotels in the world list (US) 2009… When the Cape Grace decided to refurbish their hotel, they aimed at exceeding their previous award-winning standards of service excellence and style. They, in turn, chose DMC to fulfil the same brief in terms of refurbishing their online presence.
We created a clean, elegant and sophisticated online experience that invites the user into a world of sheer wonder. Powerful and intuitive navigation allows users to explore and immerse themselves in the newly refurbished Cape Grace, incorporating outstanding virtual room tours and the ability to make a booking from anywhere on the Site.
Own The Mud | launch site
Our client, PlayUK Internet facilitates lottery ticket sales throughout the world and required a fun, engaging vehicle through which it could introduce its service to prospective new players. The success of the campaign would be measured simply by the number of registrations completed and submitted by users. The strategy we adopted was, therefore, all about providing the motivation for users to do exactly that.
The result was more than just a Flash game, as we delivered a user experience that was richer and more engaging than our client could ever have anticipated. Incorporating amazing production values in terms of the quality of professionally recorded sound and 3D motion graphics, we created an interactive game which was to be used as a viral tool and would encourage registration and future engagement with the PlayUK Internet service and brand. Users are able to interact with the first addictive level of monster truck madness before having to register to unlock additional content and game features.
Adidas Mobile Soccer
We partnered with Adidas In order to harness a nation's love of soccer and maximise the involvement of soccer fans nationwide. In doing so we designed and built an interactive soccer game to run from a mobile platform.
The game allowed users to join in and influence the outcome of the game via sms. The event was live and a simulation of the match was broadcast in various major shopping centres which encouraged users to participate via sms.
The result was a highly successful campaign that strengthened the alignment of Adidas to soccer while reinforcing one of Adidas's key brand values as a leading innovator in its market.
Samsung
A global brand synonymous with leading-edge electronics: We partnered with Samsung to drive awareness in the release of their new range of MP3 Players.
The subsequent campaign encouraged activity through multiple platforms, with radio acting as the primary channel and the digital component providing the entry mechanic. Users created playlists and voted for their favourite music for the chance to win Samsung products and have their customised playlists aired on national radio.
Allowing users to interact with relevant and meaningful content through the digital medium proved to be one of the major success factors of this campaign.
Wilderness Safaris | launch site
One of the largest safari tour operators in Africa, Wilderness Safaris offers guests access to over 50 individual camps and 15 safaris across southern Africa. With a Site involving this level of information, ease of navigation is crucial and a key concern. A second key priority in this project was the need to target two primary audiences, both with very different user needs: Travel Agents requiring facts, figures and details; with the other, International Tourists, requiring a “tangible” look at the product, which would help build an emotional connection in terms of the magic a safari experience can offer and ultimately motivate their purchasing decision.
As part of our adopted strategy, we created a Flash/HTML hybrid Site that ensured we also met our SEO objectives and still created a visually rich experience. 700 pages are shown in a clean, sophisticated and easy-to-navigate Site, where imagery remains the focus, while allowing users to interact effortlessly with what is a content-heavy Site.
Traffic and time spent on the Site have both increased dramatically, which has lead to an exponential increase in conversion rates. The new Site has also lead to the formation of many new relationships with travel agents who had previously refused to use our client's old Site due to its complex and inefficient nature. This, in tandem with increases in the above mentioned KPIs, has lead to very large and sustained growth in revenue for our client.

Interactive Investor International is one of the UK's largest online financial services portals and needed a digital and Web presence that befitted their position in the market. One of our main objectives was to clearly and consistently communicate our client's brand values throughout the design process.
Starting with their corporate identity and related marketing collateral and moving on to their Web build and CMS integration, we did just that, making use of eye-catching design and innovative Flash technologies in the process. For the Web interface we adopted a “Financial Services” look/feel much as you would see on many equity-based Sites, due to the target audiences pre-existing familiarisation with information presented in such a way. Today the Site has over 1.6 million registered users…
Spier | launch site
Stellenbosch Wineland's most famous destination offers internationally award-winning wines, as well as world class hotel and conferencing facilities. We were tasked with creating an educational online experience that communicated Spier's world's best practice approach to an environmentally sustainable business, while re-enforcing brand values which include corporate responsibility, a strong social conscience and excellence in service standards. We coupled this with allowing shareholders to access the Spier annual report online, saving thousands of printed pages in the process.
To bring the DMC vision of Spier's sustainable world to life, Flash and 3D technologies were adopted. We conducted a photographic scouting expedition at the Wine Estate and recreated the environment and landmarks in 3D. We combined this with realistic sound development produced in-house, which together allowed us to capture the essence of the environment and, ultimately, create the final product. Users are able to immerse themselves in the digital world of Spier and the Website has also expanded Spier's ability to maintain an ongoing dialogue with its target audience and shareholders; something to which Spier is committed.
Verisign
VeriSign is the global leader in digital encryption technology. Through its peer to peer network, it provides media owners with a safe and secure platform from which to distribute their digital content and protect their IP rights.
We were commissioned to build a Flash interface for this platform which would improve usability and create an engaging environment appropriate to the innovative technology. This grid network was showcased at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas and won best of show 2 years in a row.
Alfa Romeo | launch site
Digital Management Corporation in partnership with Praekelt Consulting is responsible for the ongoing maintenance and development of the Alfa Romeo Website. We have developed award winning campaigns for the Alfa GT, among others.
This particular microsite involved a detailed 3D model of the latest offer from Alfa's design studio, which provides users with the ability to rotate and explore the intimate details of the car through an innovative navigation system, while at the same time reinforcing the Alfa brand and brand values of sportiness, reliability and elegance.
